On Saturday, close to 750 students will participate in 澳客足球鈥檚 commencement ceremony 鈥� returning to Municipal Auditorium for the first time since the pandemic forced the 100^th commencement ceremony to the virtual realm in 2020.

A members of the Office of Admissions staff is lending his very unique set of skills to incoming students experiencing the maze of decisions, forms, tests and essays.

Four members of Kansas City鈥檚 unique entrepreneurial landscape took the stage Thursday in the third annual 鈥淢eet the Makers鈥� event.

And though they represented different focuses 鈥� socks, whiskey, coffee and ice cream 鈥� they shared an appreciation for the hard work it takes to be a business owner and for those who supported them along the way.

In 2018, 澳客足球 began offering college courses, taught by its own faculty, to a small cohort of 20 incarcerated individuals and 10 staff at the Chillicothe Correctional Center. Progressing through disciplines and a pandemic, they鈥檝e continued to learn.

Two MBA concentrations from the Helzberg School of Business in the College of Business, Influence and Information Analysis have earned top 20 national rankings in U.S. News & World Reports鈥� 2023 Best Graduate Schools rankings.

The greenery around campus makes every spring a wonderful time on the 澳客足球 campus.

But there鈥檚 more to the tree canopy at Rockhurst than aesthetics 鈥� all that foliage helps make the campus a more livable, sustainable place for faculty, staff, students, biodiversity and our communities. And in recognition of continuing efforts to keep the campus鈥檚 trees healthy and vibrant, 澳客足球 has been recognized as a Tree Campus by the Arbor Day Foundation 鈥� the first institution in the Kansas City area to earn that distinction.

Sean Klippel is an educator and a member of the LGBTQ+ community who was recently honored for his research as part of Rockhurst's Doctorate in Education program. Klippel's project, "How K-12 Teachers Perceive a State Bill and LGBTQ+ Affirming Curriculum," earned him a Rockhurst Outstanding Research Award (RORA) as part of the University's Festival of Student Achievement. 

In the following Q & A, Klippel explains why he's passionate about the project, as well as why it's so important now:

Craig Prentiss, Ph.D., professor of Religious Studies and Theology at Rockhurst, was recently granted a Fulbright Scholar Award to teach at the University of Bucharest in Romania in spring 2023.  are prestigious and competitive fellowships that provide unique opportunities for scholars to teach and conduct research abroad. 

澳客足球 will present the 2022 St. Ignatius Award to national healthcare leader and physician Dr. David Wild, 鈥�19 EMBA. The award is presented annually to a Rockhurst graduate in recognition of outstanding accomplishments, leadership, and reflection of Jesuit values in the person鈥檚 professional career.

Some students go to college undecided on a major, and that鈥檚 just fine. Others, like 2016 Rockhurst graduate Kaitlin Doyle, know exactly what they want to do.

Doyle鈥檚 mother grew up as a child of a deaf adult (CODA) and Kaitlin had an uncle who had cerebral palsy and spent a lot of time in therapy. She saw how her grandparents took care of him and guided him through everyday tasks.
