1948 Nash Model 4840, in original condition, goes on the block with Nash and other car parts and memorabilia on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Showplace at Binghamton Plaza in Binghamton NY. Bob & Sallie Connelly will conduct the auction.
The 1948 Nash featured in the auction, has 44,125 original miles, and has never been restored. In 1988, the Nash Car Club of America named it “Best All Around Original Vehicle” of the year. The auction includes Nash parts, accessories and memorabilia, many new in the box or never used.
In addition to the 1948 Nash, the auction includes other automotive-related items such as parts, dealer signs, license plates, advertising signs, claxon horns, automotive manuals, etc. Also, included are automotive shop equipment, including a Coats 40-40A tire changer, a Model 7200 Branick strut spring compressor, a 125,000 BTU Salamander, etc.
The auction also includes mopeds and bicycles, including an Astra folding bicycle and a 1971 Puch Maxi moped. It concludes with the sale of over 150 vintage beer steins, including 40 Mettlach, military, figural, character, glass, and pewter steins.
